Speed Lecture Award 2025
The stage is yours!
When an international audience from the healthcare industry and academia is marveling, laughing and giving ovations after only a three-minute presentation, most likely they just witnessed a Speed Lecture at Berlin´s annual networking event BIONNALE.
The HealthCapital Cluster Berlin-Brandenburg and the vfa, the association of research-based pharmaceutical companies are looking to award the most creative, entertaining and captivating research pitches.

Who can apply?
Young researcher and developers (up to junior post doc or job starters) working on a great discovery, application or invention in (medical) biotech, pharma, medtech or digital health. You can apply individually or as a team up to three members.
What´s in for you?
- Pitch coaching sessions in April 2025
- Visibility among life sciences experts from academia and industry at the final at the BIONNALE on May 14 in Berlin
- Prize money up to € 1.000.

Next steps:
After a pre-selection, applicants are asked to submit the following until Feb 18: a short abstract about the research project and a slide show showing how they are planning to present the project to the audience at the BIONNALE event.
In mid of March an independent jury selects six finalists that will win a professional pitch coaching (in Apr) and that can present their projects to international experts from life sciences at the final during the BIONNALE event on May 14th. The audience will then act as the jury and select the first three places. The winners will receive up to 1000 € prize money.
